A Missle Command Rhythm Game

Meteors are coming, and they need to be stopped! Time to use earth's last defense against those damn dirty rocks. Use the _Safety Cannon(TM)_ to blast those meteors back to hell!

The _Good Guys(TM)_ have deployed aid packages for the cities affected, just make sure you send the signal to deploy the parachutes before they slam into the city causing *irreparable damage*.

Nice mix between a "rhythm" game (grabbing the aidpacks ?) and a traditional shoot them up. However, some heavy balancing seems needed. Kudos for the online leaderboard, a great addition to a pure socring game !

@trulyspinach Did it not start at all? If that's the case could you tell us what OS/browser you are using? It shouldn't take more than a minute.

The game actually downloads the whole song, then does the analysis to generate the beats in the browser. In a more fully baked version we would probably store the beats rather than generating them every time.

This was fun! I was a little frustrated that the missile clouds didn't always stop the comets, and I didn't always see how the song mattered with the rhythm, but I had a good time. Couldn't win on any level other than relaxed. Very nice work. Crisp graphics and controls.

@dob there is definitely some tweaking to be done, and if it makes you feel better I almost never win on anything above relaxed unless the song is short. Did you try the metronome level to see if it was a syning issue for you?

@JLV agreed, as typical of game jams, balancing is a bit off

I think the idea is good its just that a rhythm game requires a lot of concentration its almost impossible track the aid packets and shoot the meteors but i think the game is good and you fit the theme really well
