A Binding Contract tells the story of a poor lad rendered into a detached soul, who now has the ability to steal LIFE from moving objects and use it to bind inanimate items together.

I wrote a postmortem on the making of this entry. Check it out!

This is a prototype which I made solo for the compo, and used a couple of jam hours to finish. This was my first Ludum Dare, and with my limited art skills I struggled to find enough time to both make nice assets and implement my initial ideas. So what you'll play is a nicely wrapped point-and-click scene that should hopefully represent what I wanted to make.

Regardless, I'm excited to share it. As a complete pixel art novice, I made all the assets during the compo and tried to give them a uniform style (thanks to Daniel Linssen for the font!). While there's not much in the way of a game, I successfully bent the free version of Construct 2 to the weird wills of my project, which is something!

I'm attaching the source as well since most assets and systems were made during the compo. The project is a bit messy since I did a few things that C2 isn't really made for. If you do check it out, feel free to ask questions in the comments!

:warning: Bug: You can go back to the menu after playing, but it turns out I'm not resetting some variables properly. This means if you hit "start" again, you won't get a proper new game, so I suggest you hit F5!
