Puddles

I was not really all that motivated for this year's LD, especially given the theme that could literally fit any game. In the end I decided to participate, and created something at least.

Description

You are some sort of living being, and your biggest pleasure in life is to jump in puddles of water. By doing so, you will increase your score from 0 (nothing) to any amount you can manage before the screen will catch up to you and you die.

If you die, the game will simply reset.

Controls

Hold space to jump. The longer you hold it, the further you will jump. The challenge in this game comes from timing your jumps correctly and racking up your score as you escape the screen edge.

Running the game

Windows

The Windows build should hopefully launch just by extracting the zip contents and double clicking the ld45.exe file.

Linux

It should work on any modern Linux distro with a fairly recent Qt version installed.
