Every loop has a weakspot, gun them down against increasingly desperate odds as the loops become faster and become harder and harder to hit.
It is literally Super Hexagon, but you are supposed to shoot loops. It is not something bad! Even more, game is even pretty cool. Game should show your score after losing, I got pretty far and wanted to send my score here, but I can't find it. And at some point, gun is shooting too slow to actually protect itself from loops.
Make it into mobile game, it would be great there. :smile:
Edit: Hey, nvm, you can actually upgrade reload time, so I take back part which says something about not being able to shoot fast enough. Also I found "highscores". :smile:
At first I thought it was super hexagon, and I tried to shoot at the blue arcs of the loops, then I died multiple times, until I found out that it was the pink part that was sensitive.
Then I all became clear! Played your game for many minutes and it is really enjoyable! The graphics are quite minimalistic but this is not an issue, audio is good and the loop keeps you in a good mood for playing.
This was incredible. Simple, looks great, easy to play, gets crazy hard. I actually felt STUCK in the loop when the levels got to around 250. I was genuinely stressed, frantically clicking and knowing that 1 miss would cost me my life. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME game dude.
PS: Love the game modes and powerups on top of it all.
Nice work. Super catchy soundtrack. The levels in combination with the power ups are perfectly balanced. I would love to play the last level unlimited to beat my high score ;) A menu to reduce the sound effect value would be nice, with the shotgun at full speed I couldn't hear the music anymore ^^
@wouter-deferme@vrarr@fachscahfttf - thank you, I'm happy you like the music. The short answer of how it's made - Ableton Live and Native Instruments. These are the Native Instruments instruments I used: Flesh, Butch Vig Drums, Blocks Primes, Massive X, Rounds, Evolve.
I loved getting the auto-shotgun and just spinning frantically in a circle. It might be cheating. Really cool game, most time I've spent in a game so far today!
@bukkaketears glad you liked it and you found the scores. Our recommendation if you're lacking fire rate is the automatic shotgun with a few reload upgrades :D
Great entry. I really needed that. Would genuinly play this for fun. The tension mounts nicely and gets proper frantic. Only complaint and its minor would be the explosion sound is a bit crunhie and seems a bit delayed. It would feel better is it hit earlier soundwise. Thats all everything else was great
