Ludum Dare #48compo
Deep trouble in the art gallery
A point and click adventure game for the LD48 Compo.

I really wanted to add more to this but like all game jams i ran out of time (or more appropriately energy). From the start i wanted to do something that wasn't a 2D platformer/top down and decided to try my hand at point and click. Overall i think i did a good job building up the backend code to move the character, interact with objects, etc but of course all of that is stuff you as a player don't see! It's a shame it's short but i'm happy with the outcome!
I hope you enjoyed the game and i look forward to reading your comments and constructive feedback!

In this (very) short game enjoy an art gallery while finding yourself getting into deeper and deeper into trouble. Resolve, the problems you create and leave.Author notes (you don't need to read this if you don't want)
Inspired by point and click adventure games like the monkey island series, Mystery of the druids & Night of the tentacle.I really wanted to add more to this but like all game jams i ran out of time (or more appropriately energy). @samguy - Thank you! Yea i would of loved to add a second or third room and technically everything code wise was ready to do it but i wasn't going to have time to create the art for it and implement so focussed on just the one room. That's also a good piece of feedback about getting told when you'd clicked something, i realised i needed to indicate when something was interactable but forgot to say that you had started the interaction!
@xpycm - Thank you for the feedback, i guess i could of added a pointing arrow or something to indicate to click the exit.
Good job !
I had a good laugh.
Maybe It would be nice to have an accident possible for all elements, and a normal situation. The accident always being the last one you try. And have a groundhog day effect where you would play different order of breaking everything! Trying to find the correct way of looking at the exhibit without ruining it!
It would have been great to go to a different spot after you already picked one, but since it's a fairly short game it didn't bother me that much. This was an enjoyable experience, good job !
Very well done, thanks for making it and us experience it!
Only small note would be that triggering the fire might have been funnier as a direct action instead of an
accident. (when you look at the cat picture? :D)
