Preatty fun game! Love the art!
Maybe some warning second before "mentally broken individual" starts attacking you would be helpfull

The character design reminds me of little nightmares. Really nice game.

@vasuka Thank you! I considered adding a warning, but I wanted to kind of enhance the “unpredictable behavior” of the individual. But since you’ve brought that up in your feedback that might be something to think more about!

Seriously well done! The graphics were absolutely amazing! Overall very good gameplay, I would also agree with @vasuka and say that there should be a bit of a warning so that everything has some way to be avoided but the gameplay still felt very smooth

Great graphics! I agree with other comments about the warning. I tried 5 times and made some progress but kept losing in situations I'm not sure I could have really avoided. I tried killing the things as they popped up and attempting to outrun them until the individual got mad at me then switched focus to protecting it from a distance. Wondering if there's maybe a better strategy I didn't find though.

As with other comments, there were some issues with the lack of a warning, but wow, the art is incredible - looks really professional. A bit more polish and it'd be really very good.

I really liked the visual style. You made a mind-blowing prototype. I didn’t like the fact that the dash is snapping in the direction of aim, but not wasd.

@sunderbird Thank you! Yeah, not going to lie I agree with you on that. I kept making mistakes during testing whenever I dashed, for some reason thinking it was tied to the WASD, but I just told myself "it's just something to get used to." But since you found that kind of annoying, it does put more light on the issue. Thanks for the feedback!

The visuals on this one are the best I've seen in the jam so far! I loved the ambience you set, with just visuals and gameplay alone. The unique take on the escort mission you have here is interesting, but I think you could go further with it...

Absolutely take this thing further! I'd love to play a full release of this.

My only complaint is a lack of sound - which, obviously it's LD and time is limited, but the atmosphere could have been so much thicker if there was just some ambient sounds!

Hmm, well, there are four ways you can lose - you get killed by your escortee or a phantom, your escortee gets killed by a phantom or you, or you or your escortee fall off a cliff. One of the escortee's unpredictable behaviors is to intentionally go walk off said cliff. I'm going to hope it was one of these that kept happening rather than a bug xD

Thank you so much, @tom-robson ! Yeah, I even had ideas for the audio as I developed the game, but I ran out of time. Couldn't even get to several other things I wanted to, such as health kits. But I'm glad you liked the game so far regardless of the lack of audio!

This is great! The art is amazing and I really like the premise. It's very difficult (maybe a little too difficult) and the controls take some getting used to, but once I got them it was a lot of fun. All in all, this is really good for the time you had. Great job!

Very creative. The visual art is great. Had fun playing this one.

The game looks beautiful, it is in dire need of some sound effects but honestly if you traded the sounds for the visuals I undersand and it was worth it. Slight game break in that you can win by just dashing straight to the end.

Interesting gameplay. Interesting graphic style. Very short level. I want more.

I put a condition that the unstable escortee needs to be in close proximity to you when you reach the end in order to win, though I guess I could still see you being able to pick them up and book it to the end with a chance of no events occurring. Dang, top points for mood. This game had me unnerved the whole time while I was playing it, after I saw the prisoner go unstable. Given it's a jam game I understand it wouldn't have tons of variation in play, but if you expanded this beyond the small encounters I think this has the potential to be a much bigger game. Also, did you hand draw the art? That was my favourite part :)

@levi Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the game! I'm not quite sure what defines hand drawn graphics, but yeah, I drew all of that if that's what you mean. I was originally going to make this pixel art, so I'm glad my decision to change the art style worked out well!

The artstyle is really cool!! Movement and shooting feels very fluid and snappy. Screenshake when killing the enemies adds a lot of juice. Restarting the game after dying takes a bit too long and insta-killing deathzones feels frustrating.

Cool concept and great story & mood in a 72hr game. I think if there are more tool for the player to deal with the different escortee states, it will be more engaging and fun! Good job overall

I really like hand drawn art and you really did it justice. I guess its different for everyone but I would have preferred having the dash direction work with wasd.
