UPDATE: Thanks for feedback and rating! But to make things more interesting, looks like no one noticed that if you clear the game(survive for 5 minutes), you get Gold suits or Platinum suit if clear with 7 people on the table.

Doomsday Clock shows how soon is inevitable end of Humankind due to nuclear holocaust.

But what if we joke about it? How about smacking those who wants to try it?

In this game you play role of political summit gatherer on which every member of it is very eager to smack that big red button pushing everything to end. That's why you need to instead smack their hands while they are trying this.

But they are not as straight forward as you think. They'll be trying to talk you over, do it stealthly, distracting you, shouting on each other, and even straight up steal this button to press it hidden.

Have fun delaying inevitable end of Humankind.

Topical, maybe too topical! XD It gets pretty difficult, but it does take a while to ramp up. Maybe the clock could move a little quicker?

It's a fun idea (at least if we forget the current situation). The graphics and animation is rather impressive for a compo game. One thing I feel could have been improved are the texts as it lacks a bit in variety once you've played once or twice already.

Seems like someone just quickly reaches out and smacks the button. Too fast to react unless they do something im not noticing. Otherwise pretty interesting!

Like the use of the sneaking theme, but the menu was probably my fav part. It was cool be able to use the buttons to change options. Nice touch.

I love the idea of delaying a world disaster. The graphics are good too, although you can see that the arms and legs are floating and detached with the camera angle. The gameplay was easy to learn as well. The menu was also very creative. I love the small touch that you can hit the button during the game.

Nice entry! Overall I think you executed really well, with decent audio, visuals, gameplay and polish.

I found that the difficulty curve is quite unforgiving. It's really easy when they're just slowly reaching out, but quite soon they'll start swatting at the table and it's hard to react in time.

One aspect I really liked was that it was easy to accidentally click the buttons myself if I was panicking myself, which I thought was a nice touch.

that guy at the bottom right always gets me like clock work. i cant seem to click fast enough to get his hand. maybe change the randomness a bit in the hand movment.

This game looked really interesting and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed slapping hands and not pressing
buttons. Still curious what the button does though.

Presentation is top notch. I really like the inclusion of a main menu with options and the dynamic camera angles to help link it to the game. Features like that show a lot of consideration for the player even during a jam. The low graphics worked much better for me, so I especially appreciate that option. If I had one critique, it's that a few of the enemy moves aren't very well telegraphed, but it's a pretty fun doomsday whack-a-mole even if I'm not always sure who just ended the world.

Good job modelling the hands and arms they are well animated given the time constraints of the jam. Being able to put together so many different assets (music, sound, art, texture) must have been quite a flurry of activity.

Very nice take on the theme! Nice, simple and polished with some nice animations and atmosphere. I thought the difficulty could have ramped up a bit quicker though, as it was a bit slow at the start.

@vladadamm I was not sure to add more flavor texts. But they easily can be expanded for more than 5 versions for each situation.

@zerocomms @Widdershin speed of their reach is determined by difficulty. It is 6-10 seconds to reach button on level 1 and 1-3 seconds for level 5. You can change number of people around table to decrease or increase difficulty.
Note that average human reaction on visual stimulus is 0.25 seconds, pro gamer reaction time is up to 0.1 seconds. And on Level 5 with 7 guys you left with 0.17-0.43 seconds to react on each.

Very complete compo entry and a fun take on the theme, well done! It did a good job captivating my attention and was very easy to pick up quickly and learn the more subtle mechanics. The music, models, and dialogue also felt very silly/whacky which only enhanced the core gameplay (though to be honest I was so focused on slapping those hands that I probably missed a lot of the dialogue).

This is a really cool concept. I like the hand animations and the comments they make. The only problem I had with the game is that some of the button pushers' arms are cut off because of the rectangular screen size (I think it would be better if it was just a square)
