Avoid the Asteroid

This game was pretty fun! The hand drawn artstyle and 'pew' noises gave it a lot of whimsy :)

The difficulty doesn't seem to increase as the game goes on though, it would have been nice if maybe the asteroids sped up over time?

The art and audio is all super cute

OMG a jam game made in scratch ??? I've never seen that before you guys are amazing, that's how you get a 5/5 in Innovation :smile:

I really love how you guys made a game in such a simple framework yet managed to make the gameplay more fun than a lot of other games I played. I'm really impressed, I know the game isn't complicated of visually mind-blowing but I think it has exactly what a good jam game should have, the Fun element!

As an european please add the option to play in the zqsd keys or at least with the arrows. Overall nice game and good job for creating it on Scratch, it was very cute and fun :)

The laser and game over sfx had me laughing from start to finish- with the game being short they never quite overstayed their welcome. Fun and quick destresser of a game!

what a cute game!! I LOVED the "pew pew pew"!! the controls were really easy to grasp and the speed of the rocket felt appropriate for how quickly the asteroids were moving. i would've loved to have seen maybe the asteroids spinning while they moved, or maybe some kind of effect when they blast apart (i'm a sucker for visuals). i think it would've been great to have a different sound effect for hitting the asteroids vs the asteroids being destroyed as well, that way there's more variety in sound, as well as an aural indicator for when an asteroid is destroyed. otherwise, really adorable game!! the pew pew really sold it, haha!!
