I really like the combination of visuals and sounds with a text based adventure game. Well done!

I don´t know if it is done on purpose but I could barely read and see what was happening. It´s a shame beacuse I was interested in a text based adventure.

The same issue, a flashing effect makes the game unplayable. I managed to open the pag but barely reading what was happening. I will follow for updates!

The effects are quite good! It works on firefox, or at least my version. It's a little hard to get the right words sometimes, but I had fun.

Ayy, I ...won? Died anyway. Not sure if there are multiple endings or not, but it seems like whenever I tried to something off script it got confused. Seems like I should be allowed to wake up the brothers haha. The banging audio was unnerving in a good way and there were some frames of the monster that got kinda creepy. Feels like there's more to the story that I'm missing, but not sure if that's because you didn't have time to flesh it out more of if there's more to do that I didn't find.

@vykri Yeah, there is only a single ending. I kinda got stuck with some bugs and had to rush the end :P

I like the postprocessing work and the sound effects. The graphics are simple but they get the job done, and actually work well with the text to paint a good picture of the scene in my imagination. Disappointing that there isn't much to do besides go upstairs and die. Or maybe I just haven't found it yet. I want to explore more!

Not sure if I won or lost, but it was really cool! You nailed the sound and art, its one of the most immersive games I've played in a Ludum Dare. I wish it was bigger!

Good visual+auditory experience but could've been a bit longer though / more options towards the end. Liked the chords playing during the ending!

I can't figure out how to get past the very first input :( I tried 'help', 'stand up', 'get out of sleeping bag', 'wake up', and all sorts of other random combinations.

It looks cool, though. Wish I could play it!

@asbjorn You're right. "get out of sleeping bag" really should work. I've seen others get stuck on the same thing, so I've made a hotfix where that now works :) Thanks for the feedback!

With the risk of spoiling your game, what was the intended answer to the first prompt?

@asbjorn I think "Open sleeping bag", "Leave sleeping bag", "Exit sleeping bag", "Escape sleeping bag" and a few others works. Should also be possible to call it "sleeping sack"/ or just "bag". Something became weird with my synonyms-system when both the noun and the verb had multiple words though. Will have to look into a more stable way of fixing that in the future :)

Wow that was quite an experience. Nice to see something really different entered. You definitely nailed the atmosphere!

Mine was barely readable .. don't know if it's the same issue as the others. I played the WebGL version. Heard the hammering, saw the flashing - but most of the text was obscured 90% of the time. Nothing seemed to change on any input.
I still liked the idea - and actually if any of the above was on purpose it was actually very "moody".

@purpledartfrog could you supply a screenshot of how it looks at the worst state? Is it a pulsating flashing effect, repeating about once every second?

Realized it could maybe be my graphics somehow rendering at the wrong scale.

That was creepier than I expected... The game is minimalistic but it was able to bring out emotions in me. Well done in creating that tension with so little! Big mood! I'd love to see this game expanded on, and perhaps add some branching narrative. Great job!

This is a neat little text game. I played through twice and experimented with what I typed on the second run. It seems to handle the "correct" inputs quite well, but I didn't find much outside of the main story path and it seems to have just one ending and ignores your inputs at the end (I know that natural language parsing is very hard, I was just interested to see what it could do). The story is intriguing though, and I like the visuals and the sound effects. Nice work!

That's weird, I can't do anything after leaving the sleeping bag and getting up, there is no prompt.

Cool game with a strange storyline. It reminds me an old entry which I made for another LudumDare. The minimalist aesthetic sounds good. No tutorial - exactly what I want. Thank you for your kind comment for my own game (which has been fixed). I wish you the best ++

Nice entry. It can be difficult to get people engaged in a text based jam game, but the story was short enough for the format. The input recognition worked very well for the limited development time frame.
