Great use of theme and fun addictive gameplay kept me doing more runs. Having the score linked to moving instead of time was a good call - adds incentive to not just sit idle. Glad you had the tutorial in there because I would have presumed the orbs were obstacles otherwise.
It's pretty alright! Kinda wish that it rotated by the center rather than the side to make the left side more actionable, and the RNG felt really annoying since many of my runs would end with an entire line of spikes with no collectables in sight. But I could definitely see people really putting in the time to get better at it, the skill component is high for sure!
This game is actually quite fun! The unique controls give a nice challenge and the walls closing in mounts pressure making for a good experience. The only thing lacking is music which I think would make a big difference. Imagine if it was dynamic music where it sped up as the walls closed in. Anyways, very stylized and polished game!
@pixeltaku what do you mean by "more actionable" exactly? i haven't really felt like one side gets more use than the other but i might be missing something
@slimetrash OKAY SO IT TURNS OUT I WAS ONLY USING HALF OF THE CONTROLS LOL, didn't realize I could use WASD to move the other side of the bar. Might wanna write the full controls somewhere, but I guess that's what I get for not playing the tutorial
It takes some skill to play this game and i like that! I reached the part with obstacles moving and then I immediately died. xD One thing that would make the game 100% better is adding some background music! At least in my opinion.
Solid entry! I like the animation that plays when you start the game, and the mechanic is pretty cool. Next time, try to integrate the tutorial into the start of the game, and people are trapped into doing it haha!
Very nice. Simple but a great idea with a clever mechanic I've not seen before. Took me a little while to pass the tutorial, but then I kept wanting to get a better score in the proper game
I like the smooth graphics and gameplay, despite finding it a bit of a challenge to rotate my hands to use two sets of stacked keys. I'm not sure whether having more theming/world building would add much, but personally I didn't mind the abstract style. It gets hard pretty fast, which makes sense given the theme, but I think it might also be because of the limit on how quickly you can pivot, and the wait for the ball to roll back. That just adds to the challenge of a fun game though - nice job!
fun entry :) since score is given every time you move, it seems the best strategy is to just move a lot. it might be an idea to only reward points if moving upwards, since that naturally introduces more risk. either way, i enjoyed the game, and the visual are great
the idea is very cool and the game is very addicting since you gain experience and dexterity every new game!
i found the controls to be a little bit weird, i'd put the up/down arrows on the O and L keys or I and K for example, so the left and right fingers position would be the same on the keyboard, not one hand higher than the other.
apart from that i had a lot of fun playing this! also thank you for uploading a mac build! :)
Another banger from Stiikbug!! Adorable visuals and a nice gameplay mechanic. The physics allow for fun things like bouncing the ball up a bit. Cool stuff!
Some of the power ups sent me for a spin but it was a nice surprise!
my highscore was only around 3k :(!
