Attention Duelists! Help Sophie defend her forest from her brother Ruben in the ultimate arena of battle: a children's trading card game!
A casual card game with hand-drawn art in a 3D world. You play against a CPU opponent by *summoning* cards with cute creatures onto the field and attacking solo or in pairs to eliminate all monsters on the other side. Each player also has a powerful card that can only be summoned by offering a sacrifice.
CPU Difficulty: easy but not too easy. Game uses mouse controls with some keyboard shortcuts for convenience. Full story, how to play, and credits are detailed in-game.
This submission was intended for the Jam category but bug-fixing delays prevented a publishable version to be ready in time. I decided to spend 2 extra days to:
- Fix remaining bugs
- Improve the CPU strategy
- Add the sound effects I already recorded.
- Make the game info section of the menu
- Implement keyboard shortcuts and other UI clean-up
