TINY CREATURE MEMORY WAR

I got quite far, level 3 was a challenge, this was fun, super cool idea, I think the best game I played so far on this jam.

Great blend of mechanics - makes for a satisfying play! I found the difficulty spiked a fair bit on level 3 as well. The art is fantastic - loved it!

Had a lot of fun with this one, played it for a while and enjoyed it. I had to turn the sound off after a bit though even though 99% of the sounds were great. The attacking/death sound was more like an audio crackle to me rather than a old school explosion sound.

The third level is where everyone is going to die haha. I had a blast playing your game. I think its clever to combine memory with upgrades and combat!

The graphics are ok in my opinion. I think the pixelart-critters and the GUI did not really fit together that well. The music was very well done though, kudos for that!

That was a fun take on the Memory game. Level 3 seems to be not very well-balanced. Because of the randomness of the draw and overabundance of possible cards, you can end up with an unlucky shuffle where there is a tragically small amount of pairs. And as there is no way to pay for reshuffle, you can't do anything but wait to be slaughtered :wink:

I liked the variety of creatures and the fact that finding the pair actually summoned that creature to the field. Cool idea.

I'm still not sure what the "clear reward" did :laughing: But I did win.

love the memory card mechanics, for some reason, when I played level two, there is only two cards left, and they are not matching... But overall, loving it!!!

A very nice concept! It was hectic, fun and quite addictive. I know it's way out of scope, but I couldn't help thinking that playing this against a friend would be amazing. This is already very fun, and I think you balanced the game well.

Haha it got so difficult so quickly, couldn't beat lv3. Just panicking all around at the end. But super fun game play, wish I am given some downtime to look at the fight down below. Theres just so much potential to this!

Yes! This is what game jams are all about, taking a modern twist on a classic. You've made a real polished entry here nice work. It certainly did get too difficult too quickly, but it was a lot of fun!

I like the idea and game, even though it was very challenging :smile: At first I thought it was going to be easy peasy after the first round, but dang, have I never been so wrong :smiley: Smart way of implementing memory in this game. GG for you, not for me, my memory as not as good as it was :sweat_smile:

really cute, super straight forward and easy to understand. Love how fast they go when theyre upgraded cause I can just launch minions out really fast. The hardest level was kinda tricky with so many similar pictures which I liked cause it makes the game actually pretty hard to keep up with. Would love to see some harder levels, maybe make the grid move or something as I never lost any health before completing the game, I totally understand the game shouldnt be that hard for a jam, but would just be a nice thing to have maybe even as an optional thing. Nice job ^^
