Ultimately, what has more depth than a sequel? Nothing, that's what! Welcome back to the world of "Deep Into the Night", our entry for LD48 with the theme "Deeper and Deeper". This time with a new character, new perspective, and new mechanics!
Gonna be honest, the idea of a sequel came up casually in discussion, and we weren't vibing with any directly depth related themes, so we went with it, and looked for some mechanical depth instead. The chair idea came to me in a flash, we quickly prototyped it, and fell in love. At that point, we didn't even really care if the game was super on theme, we knew it would be bloody fun, and that's really what matters, right?
