Gather junk from the flooded ruins to sell for food and shelter. The fish will devour you and your hoard if you reel them in.

The levels just loop over and over, but each day you'll get some upgrades, like max depth and energy, so you can go deeper the next time.

Definitely my jankiest LD submission yet. Not super polished, but hopefully it's entertaining!

Controls:
* Space to cast
* WASD or arrow keys to move the hook
* A/D or left/right arrow keys to move the boat
* Esc to pause (you can change the music volume there)
* Mash space to shake fish off the line (items may drop too)

Really liked the art off the fisherman/boat and the background! Nice aesthetic for sure. I was able to clear day 1 easily, but difficulty skyrocketed for me on day 2 and I got eaten by a mutant fish hah. It seemed like day 2 was infinitely deep and my line couldn't reach anything further down? Maybe there was some user error there on my part.

The art is really great! Gameplay does feel a little bit janky at times (particular because sometimes there's just not enough stuff at depths you can reach to sustain you), but I had a lot of fun playing!

I think if I lived in some kind of post apocalyptic wasteland/ruins like that, and still had to pay rent, I would fully just give up.

cute game, super viby in a chill post apocalyptic way. the pixel perfect jitter sadly hurt my eyes a bit. the controls were a little slow for my taste, but you could also choose to embrace that and design the environment around more chill gameplay, right now it's a little caught between being fast for the time pressure and enemies or slow paced with the control. really nice basis to go off of though, just choose your path!
