Super TransGalactian Hyper-Billiards: Postmortem
This was my second Ludum Dare compo entry and I’m really pleased with how far I’ve come since the first (LD30).
Time logs and post-mortems written by the authors of the games
This was my second Ludum Dare compo entry and I’m really pleased with how far I’ve come since the first (LD30).
I thought I would write a bit about how this game, as I didn’t really write much since the first day. I found the theme really difficult, as to me, it meant no…
So, after hiding myself from my family as best I could, I settled down to think of a game theme… that could be played on just one screen. Settled down is a bit strong,…
First things first, if you haven’t had a chance to check out LD scan, yet, you can do so here. I’d recommend you do so before reading this postmortem, as it’ll give you…
Introduction:
This is the postmortem for my LD31 entry “When Snowmen Attack”.
Hey gamedevs!
I made a timelapse for Snowball Juggling Olympio my LD31 Entry :
Today I’ll review my experiences of last LD and the October Challenge!
Here we are with a Post Portem update after the awesome LD31. We want to talk about how Azor was born and how it has developed throughout the Ludum Dare.
Intro
I’ve never written a LD postmortem before, so we’ll keep it brief.
LD31 is our 6th Ludum Dare. And after our failed attempt last August where both of us got sick on the last day (and later quit on the last few hours of the jam), we had…
I participated in LD30 in August and wasn’t able to do the one just gone. I had never really showed my game I made that weekend and seen people play it first hand. I got…
For a postmortem of our Sentinel I wanted our entire team to express their thoughts and feelings about the idea, the process and the result of a great game we made. So…
It’s been two weeks now but have been meaning to write this while everything’s relatively fresh on my mind. Finished the LD Jam (3rd of the year, though did a few other…
Oh look! A game with programming, snow and hunting! Now here’s a somewhat truncated look at it.
I admit it. I was one of the theme ragers this time. Actually I didn’t even wanted to participate, but when I saw the theme being a technical limitation rather than a…
What went well
So this was my fifth Ludum Dare (holy crap time flies!) and I’m pretty happy with how my game turned out.
Soo. Snowman vs. Chesspieces is my third LD entry and I think the most complex thing I’ve written in 48 hours (or about 19 hours if you can trust github).

Avoid Rage is a minimal reflex game where you must avoid enemies coming at you from opposing tracks. Control with arrow keys or WASD. M to mute.
This LD was a lot of fun. It was my first LD I made together with my wife and our first project we did as a team. It was very hard at the beginning to find something we…
So this was my first ever game jam, I decided to not pressure myself too much and allowed myself to extend into the Jam instead of just the Compo if needed. Which it…
Almost a week has passed since I submitted Coin Simulator 2015 and I figured it was time for a post mortem.
Hello everyone! I wrote Sad Little War-Bot for Ludum Dare 31, and now I would like to talk about the process of creating the game. This is an exercise in reflection, and…
I guess I should start out by saying that is my fourth Ludum Dare. I haven’t been able to participate in a while, for reasons, but I got the opportunity to participate…
So, for this jam we went with an idea that was gameplay focused and would be fairly easy to develop. What we ended up with was a surgeon and stress management game…

Greetings jammers. In lieu of a standard post-mortem, I thought I would discuss how I made the visuals for Peter Padder Pauleypop.
After 72h of hard work here comes the post-mortem of Colosse Duty, well at least mine. My teammates probably feel the same but this is from my point of view.
The full (much longer) postmortem with all the nuances, pictures and development progress can be read on our blog, so I’ll keep it short here. Even more-so as some of…
For our 9th straight entry in Ludum Dare, we created Galactyc Budget Flights. Unlike our previous entries, we knew we didn’t have a full 72 hours to work on GBF as it…
This was my third attempt at Ludum Dare, but the thing that sets this attempt apart from the others is that I actually finished something! Making Monster Buster was a…
First, if you have not yet played my entry for LD31, Towards Light, take a look and maybe rate http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=41895
