Hello fellow entrants. Here is a small retrospective of my Bubbles and Slugs submission.
With four days remaining we thought it might be high time for us to add our little post mortem for Puppet Guardian.
Once again into the fray. Once again writing about this awesome experience that Ludum Dare is.
Hello Jammers!
We already participated 8 times in the Ludum Dare jam, but this was the first time we had a dedicated pixel artist, Daniel! Also this was the first time we made a platformer.
As this was my first Ludum Dare, I thought it might be instructive for me to reflect a bit over the experience :-)
This is a post-mortem analysis of my first completed game jam entry Weapon Against Oblivion (a submission frequency of approx. 10*10^-10 Hz).
As a first time participant. My experience with the Ludum Dare has been bittersweet. Although reasonably well prepared, I had few expectations going in as to how I’d fare.
So it’s been a couple of weeks and I think I’m finally ready to put up a post-mortem for the game. (the game can be found here…
floats level 4
What even is this game? Basically it is a small roguelike (procedural generated maps, permadeath dungeon crawler) with weapon crafting and tactical, fully deterministic combat.
So… that was my 7th LD. The first thing that came to my mind when seeing the theme is to kill hordes of enemies with crazy random weapons like 10 ton weights and…
Hello all, I go by Boateye on the internet, but you can call me boateye, since we’re instant best friends!
First of all, I wanted to thank each and every person who’s taken the time out of their schedule to play through my ridiculous math adventure. The response has been…
Finally, Nightfall post-mortem :) After some problems, got the game submitted on time. First time on LudumDare!
If you haven’t played Star Power yet, you might be interested in checking it out here. It’s not spectacular, but most folks agree that it’s pretty novel, so you might…
I don’t like the word “Post mortem”. It indirectly implies that something is dead on delivery. A game comes alive first when it is played. That said, here are a few key…
Here is a post-mortem of my #LD32 entry called Weapon Regulator. Your are sent to a battlefield, and your mission is to seize any unconventional (i.e. illegal) weapon…
This was our fifth Ludum Dare and we had some goals this time:
Here’s a post mortem for Vac ‘n Smash, a game about hoovering up junk and recycling robots. You can also view this post on my site.
Bunny Plane Massacre
Hey everyone! Hope you’ve been enjoying all these awesome games made for LD32! 😀
TURN YOURSELF INTO A CANNON AND FIRE YOURSELF OUT OF YOURSELF AT ROBOTS
Now that we are finally resurrected from the Ludum Dare super-epic-mega-tough weekend, we have some time to make things like this, a compilation with some of the art in…
Hi everyone! The jam is over, and we’d like to share some of our experiences making our entry: “The Rock the Paper and the Scissors”.
I did it again. I attempted to turn a real-world boring scenario into a “game”.
This was my first Ludum Dare entry. Let’s just say I was totally unprepared.
Now that my game was submitted, fixed to the point of actually working, reviewed by other people, and polished a bit with the feedback, it’s time for the thing nobody…
Take a look at One Mand Band here
I just wrote up a postmortem (which I prefer to call postpartums, since I see releasing a game as more analogous to birth than death) on my own website.
This is the first time I have participated in LD. Generally speaking, it was awesome!
Introduction
I had to skip the last one but this time around I was able to participate in Ludum Dare again! My last entry did pretty well so trying top it was going to be challenge.…
Hey there, BoxedMeatRevolution here.
Before I begin my story of awesome gamedev-iness, I would like to say:
Nuke Whaling
For LD32 I submitted Magnets, How Do They Work?
Some thoughts on my Ludum Dare experience. First Ludum Dare for me. It was a highly intense and rewarding weekend for me. Starting three O’clock in the night to check…
This is a postmortem of AVIAN DAYS, my entry for LD32 (compo).
Yaay, my first Ludum Dare is over, and me and my team managed to push together a playable game. Yaaay for us!
